This year Hockey Helps the Homeless is excited to be hosting its 10th Annual Tournament in Waterloo Region! Since inception, HHTH Waterloo has granted over $1.9 million locally to 6 partner agencies.

Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH), leverages Canada’s affinity for hockey to raise awareness and financial support for the homeless through education, fundraising, and by partnering with solutions-based local homeless support agencies.

Every Canadian should have a safe place to call home and the supports that they need to thrive. To ensure all homeless and at-risk Canadians have a fighting chance, Hockey Helps the Homeless hosts Pro-Am hockey tournaments across Canada where players raise funds to make a direct impact in their own community.

On any given night over 350 shelter beds are being utilized in the Region by women, children, and men, suffering from homelessness..

Help provide that bed by supporting “Hockey Helps the Homeless,” on Friday October 25th at RIM Park from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Come watch the games for free.

All proceeds stay local, benefiting the House of Friendship, OneRoof Youth Services, Y-W Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge Shelter Corporation, Starling Community Services, and The Working Centre who run the Region’s emergency shelter bed network.
