10 year old Liam Hannon is making a difference in his community through his Liam’s Lunches of Love project. He makes brown paper bag lunches for people who are experiencing homelessness in his town of Cambridge, Massachusetts.

He passes out 50 or 60 of the lunch sacks a week, which usually include a sandwich, fruit, a snack, and water. Liam got the idea for the lunch program from a summer reading program and he says it makes him feel proud to be doing something good for the world.

Liam says: “Whenever I see them, they seem like they’re sort of sad or depressed, but then when we go over to them, they sort of light up and become more open.”
