Had a little birthday bash over the weekend! Had some family over and we just ate and chatted…the perfect weekend! My dear ol’ mum has this awesome Blutooth speaker so I obviously brought it out on the deck to have some Country Music playing!

As the playlist went through, newcomer Catherine McGrath came on. Now normally I let playlists play on…but I had to have her song on repeat! Her voice and lyrics perked my ears a wee bit!

Catherine kinda sheds the stereotype that country artists come from America! Catherine McGrath is an Irish singer and songwriter whose music is diced and blended with pop-elements! Her influences grew from Nashville. She was born in County Down in Northern Ireland! This newcomer learned guitar from her grandmother, who taught her to play and sing ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight‘

Catherine McGrath zeroed in on her skills from seeing her parents play on-stage! She grew as an artist and as a songwriter!

In addition to performing her own material,Catherine began making homemade videos of herself performing current hits and posted them online!

Striving to make her way to Country Music Motherland, in the summer of 2016 she finally landed a record deal and now bounces between home and Nashville!
