And not just because these cookies look really funny! OK, maybe they look creepy. Well, at least one of them does. Can you guess which one I made?? Hey, it’s harder than it looks. At least that’s my story.

I had some fun yesterday proving once again that the only thing I’m qualified for is talking on the radio. And let’s face it…I’m barely qualified for that.

Anyway, the fine folks at the Northfield and Weber location of Tim Hortons invited me over to decorate some Smile Cookies and, really, who can resist an offer to literally spend their morning making smiles?? Not me. I’m glad they were patient with me because I’m not sure the icing on my cookies actually resembled faces. I was laughing the entire time, though, and so was the rest of the staff. At my expense, of course. But I think that means the Smile Cookies had the desired effect, right?

And don’t forget the other desired effect of the cookies — fundraising! Locally, the $1 from our Smile Cookies goes to support KidsAbility and Nutrition for Learning. If you work at Toyota in Cambridge, you can also buy a Smile Cookie there and when you do, you’re supporting the new Haven House women’s shelter.

Oh, and the calories in a Smile Cookie don’t count. I’m sure of it.
