I should have posted this yesterday. Sorry about that. I’ll blame concert lag, okay? As in, I was up too late Sunday singing with Garth to actually do my job on Monday morning. 😉

Anyway, as you probably know, the Kitchener Rangers schedule kept me from seeing the show with all of our listeners on Saturday. But Lady Luck was smiling down on me because I was able to score a ticket to the final show on Sunday. And as Garth said during the show, “a Sunday night here with you is better than a Saturday night anywhere else.”

What a show! I’m sure you agree. Some of the highlights for me were ‘The Thunder Rolls,’ Garth’s duet with Trisha on ‘In Another’s Eyes’ (I may have gotten choked up), Canadian country artist Brett Kissel (who opened the Sunday show) coming back on stage to help Garth with ‘Callin’ Baton Rouge,’ Garth signing a guitar for a woman in the front row who came all the way from Cape Breton to see him, tossing a little Metallica into his encore, and singing ‘Mom’ to a mother and her two daughters, who hugged each other and listened with tear-filled eyes. You just can’t script stuff like that!

Wait, is that too many highlights? Not possible. Garth is the ultimate showman and he seemed so genuinely happy to be at First Ontario Centre, even at the end of his fifth show in four nights. My pictures aren’t great but I’ve posted a few more below.

Did you have a favourite moment from the show you saw?

Farwell
