Nashville Kat - Dec 2014

In May, Little Big Town is taking a break from their Painkiller Tour to go into the recording studio to start on a Christmas album. As for the record, it’ll include classics and new stuff.

Guitar player Phillip Sweet’s been nursing a fractured right hand, so he’s been wearing a brace when he’s not playing.

Randy Houser played the Toadlick Music Festival this weekend in Dothan, Alabama even tho it had been being cancelled due to bad weather. He’s the only act that would take the stage and he played an acoustic set in high winds and rain for the fans who stuck around.

Billy Currington’s doing a live chat today to talk about his new album, ‘Summer Forever’ out June 2. To chat with Billy, heat to CMT’s Facebook page at 1pm ET/noon CT /10am PT.

Speaking of Billy, he loves to spear fish and told me in Hawaii he’ll put on weights so he can go down 30 feet. When he was young, Billy learned how to hold his breath for over two minutes.

Finally – Shania’s teamed with Panthera, an organization that raises awareness for the endangered leopard that number less than 5,000 in the wild. For more info, head to panthera.org.
