Tim McGraw, Billy Currington, Chase Bryant and special guests to be announced soon have a concert for Sandy Hook July 17 in Newtown, Connecticut. All proceeds go to a charity that protects kids from gun violence. Tickets go on sale Friday. Tim says, “out of this tragedy a group formed that promised to honor the lives lost and turn it into a moment of transformation.”

 

Sam Hunt came to us via the U of Alabama at Birmingham where he was a football player. He used his downtime to learn to play guitar and when he moved to Nashville he wrote Kenny Chesney’s ‘Come Over’ and Keith Urban’s ‘Cop Car.’ Sam says the rigors of college football helped him quote, “survive and thrive in the cutthroat world of music.”

 

Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman’s first cookbook’s out today called, ‘Oh Gussie!’
