This morning’s “People Are Crazy” segment was all about this selfie, which won a travel contest in the UK. The man pictured won a $3000 vacation thanks to this picture…but not everyone was happy about it.The unhappiest of them all was the owner of the horse that’s also in the picture. You see, the horse’s owner thinks the horse makes the picture and she should have been asked for permission before this man snapped the shot. She has one point…the horse does make the picture. But the horse owner demanding compensation for the horse being in the picture? Well, that’s just crazy and, hence, on our “People Are Crazy” segment.

We like to end every segment with a little bit of “cheese”…a funny line, usually a pun meant to make you groan. Today I suggested that this story wasn’t silly….it was filly. And by the end, the horse’s owner was crying “foal” play. I thought we had done pretty well. But then you swooped in.

Rick e-mailed to say that the decision about whether or not the horse owner deserves compensation should be left up to the town mare (mayor). Get it?

That was followed by a call from Tanya who said that if you put the question of compensation to a vote, it would come back with a unanimous “neigh” (nay). Get that?

And finally, John sent an e-mail that said “I think this matter is so trivial that the mare shouldn’t be saddled with the decision.”

In a nutshell, you guys put me to shame this morning. I’ll be posting applications for writers for the Campbell and Farwell Show (OK, just writers to help me) as soon as possible.

Keep that cheese coming…
